Historic Schoenbrunn Village Roofs to be Repaired
(Columbus, OH)—Timken Foundation of Canton recently donated $75,000 to the Ohio History Connection to repair roofs in historic Schoenbrunn Village in New Philadelphia, Ohio.
“We are so grateful for the Timken Foundation’s generosity,” said Burt Logan, executive director and CEO of the Ohio History Connection. “We’d particularly like to thank the staff of the Timken plant in New Philadelphia, located across the street from Schoenbrunn Village, for endorsing our grant proposal to the Foundation.”
The gift from the Timken Foundation will allow the Ohio History Connection to repair the roofs of two buildings in Schoenbrunn Village and complete many, much-needed chimney and carpentry repairs.
About Schoenbrunn Village
The Moravian church founded Schoenbrunn (meaning “beautiful spring”) Village in 1772 as a mission among the Delaware Indians. Today the site includes the reconstructed village with 16 log buildings, gardens, and the original mission cemetery plus a museum, visitor center, and picnic facilities.
