Don’t forget, there will be a Connecting to Collections Talk tomorrow June 13th at 2 P.M. on the museum floor of the Ohio Historical Center. The topic this week is: One of a Kind: Early Photographs in the Archives. The first photographs, daguerreotypes, ambrotypes and tintypes, were direct positive images. No negatives were made and each image is unique. Come see a selection of these rare photographs from the 1840s, 1850s and 1860s. Next week, the topic is The Great Disaster of 1913. For five days in March of 1913, incessant rain across Ohio brought death and destruction to the Miami and Scioto River Valleys.
