The State Archives has been gearing up for the fall meeting of CARMA, the County Archivists and Records Managers Association of Ohio, hosted this year by the Stark County Records Center in Canton. The Ohio County Archivists and Records Managers Association is an organization of archivists and records managers from Ohio’s 88 counties. The primary purpose of the association is to provide a forum for professional discussion and information sharing among county records professionals in Ohio. The Association receives administrative support from the Ohio Historical Society’s State Archives. This past month the State Archives also conducted appraisals at the Department of Administrative Services and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Members of the staff also attended the Attorney General’s Office’s Sunshine Law workshop held in Columbus.
