Volunteer your time and talent with Ohio History Connection! Our dedicated volunteers truly embody our mission – they enable the community to connect with the past to understand the present and create a better future. To learn more about these opportunities and how you can help provide memorable experiences to visitors, please start by signing up to attend a virtual open house and complete the online volunteer application .

Please note: Background checks are required for all applicants 16 years of age and older and placement in any volunteer position is contingent upon successful results.

Attend a Volunteer Virtual Open House

Join us for a virtual open house and learn more about current volunteer opportunities at Ohio History Connection. We will discuss onboarding, training, how to sign up for shifts, and answer any questions.

Virtual Open Houses are available on the following days and times:
Mondays at 4pm
Wednesdays at 2pm

OHC Volunteer Opportunities

Track Your Volunteer Hours!

All volunteers are required to track their hours in Track It Forward. By doing so you help OHC apply for grants and earn some cool benefits for yourself. If you donate more than 60 hours during the fiscal year (July 1-June 30) you can earn a free household membership which includes: discounted admission to special events, a discount in the gift shops, and reciprocal benefits at other museums.
