In 1959, the U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force controlled the nation’s space program. That year, one plan aimed to build a base—on the Moon. This program will explore the mission’s challenges, why it was ultimately abandoned and whether this vision is becoming reality today. Join our museum educator in the STEM Inspiration Center to learn about moon bases and get your questions answered. After the presentation, enjoy a guided tour.
