The Clinton County History Center will open their historic house museum, Rombach Place, to the public for free tours on Sat. September 14th between the hours of 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. with the final tour beginning at 1:30 p.m. The museum features two floors of full touring space where stories about Clinton County’s past are shared.

The History Center houses the world’s largest public collection of Quaker sculptor and painter, Eli Harvey’s works along with items from both pre-historic and contemporary times while also telling the story of the Rombach and Denver families who owned the physical property for nearly one hundred years.

Fun fact: Denver Colorado is named after General James W. Denver, who called Rombach Place home. You can learn more about this and other unique connections to Clinton County on a tour!
