Located on the northeast corner of Scioto and Union Streets, this square brick structure was built in sections from the 1840s through the early 1850s by Dr. Edward Clarke, a dentist originally from Connecticut.

Now home to the Middletown Historical Society, we are excited to announce its 2024 Fall Open House, featuring two new exhibit rooms. The Business Exhibit features artifacts from various businesses throughout Middletown’s history as well as a collection of items donated by Lee McGee, longtime business owner. The Founders Room features maps and historical facts related to Middletown’s early pioneers. Six other exhibit rooms will be open as well.
