Juneteenth ON THE AVE will be held on June 15, 2024, Noon–6 p.m., on Columbus Historic Mt. Vernon Avenue, between 17th and St. Clair Avenue! The event will feature entertainment, vendors and a Black owned food truck festival!
Juneteenth ON THE AVE is a collaborative commemoration hosted by the Ohio History Connection, Poindexter Village Museum & Cultural Center, Maroon Arts Group, Canvaas, Sole Classics and Artfluentual.
Our mission is to commemorate Juneteenth, which dates back to June 19, 1865 and is the oldest known celebration of the end of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth ON THE AVE is also a celebration of Black resilience and creativity, a showcase for performing and visual artists and a vehicle to promote and support Black owned businesses.
