Come experience this in-progress restoration of the historic Van Horne Building located in downtown Carrollton. Guests will enter the building through the Grand Tea Room entrance and will be treated to a slide presentation of the building’s 197 years of history. You will then move to the Cedar One portion of the building and enter the original federal-style entrance to see where the hotel lobby was once located. Once there, guests can look up the stairway to the second floor as they head into the nostalgic ice cream parlor. The building also showcases a beautiful mural on the back of the building. Guests are encouraged to take photos throughout their tour. The tour will be about an hour long, and visitors are encouraged to visit the ice cream parlor for a post tour treat.
