Our Door is Open…Come ‘sit a spell’ and relive the past in a One-Room School!

A tour of the building will include the school history, one-room school stories as well as viewing historic archives. Visitors can enjoy looking through the McGuffey Readers, practicing their cursive writing skills on the slate boards and learning some inside-period games. The school yard is a very pleasant place to sit on the picnic benches under the trees or participate in outside period-games such as Drop the Handkerchief or Graces.
