Join Centerville-Washington History for an exclusive exploration of our Nutt Cottage Research Center and catch a glimpse of seldom-seen treasures. Typically open only by appointment, the Nutt Cottage is one of the iconic stone buildings that Uptown Centerville is known for. This historic cottage, built around 1810, features 20-inch thick walls made of locally quarried “Dayton limestone” and stands as an excellent example of a saltbox-style house.
The Nutt Cottage now serves as our historical society’s research center, housing artifacts from our collection and genealogical records for Centerville and Washington Township. Enjoy a guided tour led by our curator to view hidden gems from our archives and learn about the rich history of the cottage.
