Join us for a viewing of a premiere chamber opera themed around the principles of Kwanzaa.
The story begins in Africa but quickly transitions to present day America. In America, we look at three youth who are struggling to make a good life for themselves. We look at racism and how different groups have different views of America—and when all seems lost for these youth, they are introduced to the seven principles of Kwanzaa as a road map of how to structure their lives for success.
Opera Composed by Diane Peters and directed by Julie Whitney Scott.
Event is free, but registration is required. Your registration ticket will grant you free access to the Ohio History Center.
