After Dark Lantern Tour

Join us for a military tour focusing on the US Army's activities after sundown during the War of 1812. Guests are led by lantern light and uniformed historical interpreters into the reconstructed fort. The evening consists of weapons demonstrations, reading from historic diaries and musical performances. It's an enchanting and informative evening!

The Opening Gun

Fort Meigs Historic Site reopens the outdoor reconstructed fort for the 2025 season! Uniformed staff historical interpreters fire the fort's artillery off the Grand Battery in celebration of the end of Winter Quarters and the start of a new outdoor season. Artillery Demonstrations continue the following weekend on Saturday, April 5.
