15th Amendment Ratified 1870

It has been 140 years since the passage of the 15th Amendment to the US Constitution barring discrimination for voting rights based on “race, color, or previous condition of servitude.”

19th Amendment Ratified 1920

This year is the 90th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution which granted women the right to vote.

First Lady Florence Harding was the first woman to vote for her husband in a presidential election.

26th Amendment Ratified 1971

This year marks the 39th anniversary of the passage of the 26th Amendment to the US Constitution which lowered the voting age from age 21 to age 18.
