It has been 140 years since the passage of the 15th Amendment to the US Constitution barring discrimination for voting rights based on “race, color, or previous condition of servitude.”

This year marks the 39th anniversary of the passage of the 26th Amendment to the US Constitution which lowered the voting age from age 21 to age 18.
