The Ohio History Connection Archaeology Team went to the Ohio State Fair at lunch today to marvel at the Adena Effigy Pipe butter sculpture! And to eat Fair food, of course! (The funnel cake was scrumptious!) Just in case you needed a good excuse to go to the fair this year (as if funnel cake wasn’t a good enough reason), it’s worth the trip just to experience this masterpiece of folk art up close and personal.adena butter man for blog Oh yeah, there are 14 additional butter sculptures representing a variety of other symbols of Ohio. I’m sure they’re great, too. A team of sculptors used a ton (literally) of butter and spent 500 hours creating this wonderful tribute to Ohio. Brad Lepper
