4-H Collections: Sewing
The Ohio History Connection seeks to shine a spotlight on 4-H and the hard work of Ohio young people by highlighting 4-H collections.
In recognition of the significance of Ohio’s Hopewell earthworks and Serpent Mound, the National Congress of American Indians passed a resolution last year in support of nominating these sites to the United Nations World Heritage List as “places to honor indigenous achievement.”
According to the resolution, “the NCAI does hereby support and encourage the designation of the Hopewell Ceremonial Earthworks and Serpent Mound as World Heritage Sites.” The full text of the resolution can be found on the NCAI website.
