The Museum Association of East Muskingum: The How and the History
Public historian, Hope Neal, will be presenting on the creation and evolution of the John & Annie Glenn Museum and the National Road & Zane Grey Museum.
She will not only cover the history of the museums themselves, but also their content which includes comprehensive coverage of the lives of America's first orbiter, John Glenn, and his wife and communication disability activist, Annie Glenn, at the John & Annie Glenn Museum.
The National Road & Zane Grey Museum content contains the development and impact of the National Road on a growing America, the life and adventures of "the father of the American western" Zane Grey and a local art pottery collection that showcases an industry that was once the lifeblood of Muskingum County.
Hope Neal is the Assistant Director of Operations for the Museum Association of East Muskingum which operates the John & Annie Glenn Museum and the National Road & Zane Grey Museum for Ohio History Connection.
This event is free and open to the public, sponsored by the Washington County Public Library.
