Are you a member of the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church, or does your family have a history with the AME Church? If so, The National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center (NAAMCC) is asking for your help!

The NAAMCC is working on a new project highlighting the history of the AME Church. It will explore how the institution shaped American society in the areas of politics, education, and social reform. Wilberforce played a key role in this process, as the home of influential leaders and church bishops and the first AME owned and operated university. To help us tell a more complete history, we ask you to consider sharing family memories and your own lived experiences of the AME Church. These oral histories will help frame our exhibit and be preserved and available to researchers as part of our oral history program. We are also interested in artifacts and photographs you could contribute as either loans or donations to help bring this history to life.

If you are interested in participating, please fill out the form below and a staff member will contact you.
