Since we haven’t featured a “Freak of the Week” for a while, you now get two for the price of one! Name these two specimens from the Natural History collections, then name what they have in common. What is their “connection”!?
Answer:
They are the Eastern Massasauga (also known as the Swamp Rattler) and the Sandhill Crane! These are indeed dwellers of Ohio wetlands, but the other thing they have in common is that they are both listed in Ohio as Endangered Species.
