The Ohio Historical Society knows that educating our future leaders is a tough job, and we are here to help! We offer a wide range of programming that is aligned to Ohio College and Career Ready Standards and supports the Common Core State Standards. We also offer programs that promote 21st Century Skills and Historical Thinking Skills.
The Ohio History Center and Ohio Village are great places to take your students. Our school programs are an excellent way for you and your students to learn about Ohio history and have fun at the same time!
Can’t make it to the Ohio History Center for a field trip? We can help you connect your students with great Ohio history content and resources right in the classroom. Our award-winning Distance Learning programs provide fun and engaging programming to schools across the continent. Our Case Histories bring primary sources and artifacts into your classroom and our History-to-Go Van brings Ohio's history to life for thousands of students throughout the state. We also have a variety of online resources that can be used to enrich your social studies curriculum.
We offer professional development for any number of teachers across the humanities' content areas, including history, social studies, English language arts and fine arts. Our webinars are the perfect opportunity for individual teachers to learn more about particular content, see how to translate that content inform their classroom and interact virtually with other teachers. We can also provide professional development at the school or district level catered to your particular needs.
