All Hallows’ Eve
Enjoy an old-time Halloween with fortune telling, street theatre, a museum of oddities, games, crafts and activities for kids, all leading up to fireside readings of Washington Irving’s Legend of Sleepy Hollow and an appearance by you-know-who. $12, $10/OHS member, $9/ages 6–12; $7/OHS member ages 6–12 and Free/age 5 and under. Garrison Ghost Walk
Take a “spirited” tour with your War of 1812 guide and encounter the spookier side of Fort Meigs. While the ghosts may not be real, the fun certainly is. Tours last about 90 minutes and run every 15 minutes starting at 7 p.m. (last tour departs at 9 p.m.) $8, $5/ages 6–12. Not recommended for children age 5 and under. Advance registration required. Boo in the Bog
Enjoy family Halloween fun with learning stations, storytelling, face painting, crafts, games and food. Follow a boardwalk lighted with jack-o-lanterns and luminarias through the bog to learn about the fox, bat, moth, owl, spider, coyote and wolf. Chasing Spirits
Enjoy guided tours of the museum from 8-9 p.m., with stories about spooky experiences of employees and volunteers. From 9 p.m.-midnight, Mid Ohio Valley Ghost Hunters will be on hand with table tipping, pendulum dowsing and other spirit-chasing activities and registrants may spend time in the museum to experience their own “spirit encounters." $15/12/child (must be accompanied by adult).
